
Aboriginal Healthcare Navigator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Aboriginal Identified Research Assistant. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of sustainable pathways and technological solutions that enhance access to health services for children and young people from priority populations.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Providing Enhanced ACcess to Health services (PEACH) program, developing and implementing new systems and navigation pathways to identify patients from priority populations and deliver enhanced healthcare access.
This role requires a strong understanding of project management, change management, and quality improvement in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in a healthcare discipline or equivalent experience, as well as demonstrated experience in project management, change management, and quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement new systems and navigation pathways to identify patients from priority populations
- Work closely with the PEACH program to develop and implement sustainable pathways and technological solutions
- Contribute to project management tasks, including monitoring and reporting progress against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Build capacity and drive cultural change through engaging staff and key stakeholders
- Tertiary qualification in a healthcare discipline or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in project management, change management, and quality improvement
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and prioritise work within an environment of competing priorities
- Understanding of how diverse backgrounds and vulnerable populations can impact on access to, and experience of health and health care systems
