Aboriginal Healthcare Navigator Position

This is a culturally responsive care position within the Mental Health Service that aims to provide effective healthcare solutions for local Aboriginal communities.
The successful candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications in health or management, or equivalent experience, and demonstrated knowledge of complex issues impacting Aboriginal people's health and wellbeing.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver culturally sensitive care services.
- Meet allocated timeframes independently or as part of a team.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders using effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Negotiate to improve health outcomes.
- Adapt work practices to meet community needs.
Key Requirements:
- To be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
- Hold a current driver's license and willingness to travel.
Work Environment:
The role involves working at Kirk Place, Kogarah, with travel to other Mental Health Service sites.
