Supply Chain Planning Manager

The Supply Chain Planning Manager will oversee the creation, review, and improvement of sales forecasts for Infrabuild Reinforcing (IBR) and Australian Reinforcing Company (ARC). This role is responsible for gathering data from multiple sources to create accurate estimates of future sales.

This position adds value by working with sales, commercial, and IBR/ARC teams to develop an accurate estimate of future sales. The estimate directly impacts supply and purchase planning and execution decisions, as well as customer service, cash, and cost outcomes.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain SIC supply chain and Advanced Planning Operations (APO) Master Data to support transactional, planning, and reporting processes
  • Execute statistical sales forecasting functionality and seek continuous improvement in application of available APO DP features to optimize forecast accuracy
  • Collaborate with other SAP APO users and experts to share knowledge and best practices
  • Create statistical sales forecasts in the SAP APO tool, ensuring modeling is representative of historical data
  • Recommend adjustments to improve forecast accuracy and/or enhance accompanying context
  • Provide material, including data and assumptions, to facilitate monthly National Demand Review Meetings to achieve consensus and signoff of the IBR and ARC Regional Sales Forecasts (including accompanying context)
  • Coach and support Regional Sales and Commercial teams to increase their knowledge and expertise in sales forecasting
  • Ensure the signed-off SIC sales forecast (including accompanying context) is correctly fed into SIC supply planning and execution processes


Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence key stakeholders to drive alignment and implement sustainable demand planning processes.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or Science
  • Proven experience leading the Demand Planning function within a complex distribution and manufacturing organization
  • Understanding and ability to define and implement improvement initiatives across planning processes
  • Experience working across complex business structures without direct line authority to deliver required business change
  • Advanced skills and knowledge using SAP or Advanced Planning Systems and statistical forecasting techniques and systems
  • Competent with techniques for change management and negotiation
