Overview:

This leadership role offers an exceptional opportunity to shape and drive patient-centred care across the district. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of human-centred transformation, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and implement innovative solutions.

Key responsibilities include leading patient and carer experience initiatives, implementing systems aligned with national standards, driving service improvements using experience data, collaborating across teams to embed human-centred care, and championing evidence-based frameworks.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a proven track record of formulating new approaches, leading change programs, and improvement strategies that resulted in significant improvements in healthcare delivery. A strong understanding of contemporary issues, challenges, and directions for human, patient, carer, and consumer experience within NSW Health and broader national and international domains is essential.

Please note: To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.

Tertiary qualification in a related discipline or equivalent experience in leadership in patient and carer experience, project management in a healthcare environment, or a combination of work and study are highly desirable.

A current Driver's Licence valid in Australia is also required.

In this role, you will lead the Human Experience portfolio for WSLHD, driving systems and strategies to improve patient, carer, and consumer experience. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop effective solutions to address these gaps.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with experts from various fields, including healthcare, education, and research. Your ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, will be crucial in this role.
