About the Role

The key responsibilities include:

  • Providing quality care and regular support to children/youth and their families through foster care services.
  • Monitoring and facilitating support contact as agreed in the care plan to ensure optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Ensuring the protection of children and their welfare while considering their opinions on daily life matters.
  • Supporting and coaching foster carers to develop confidence and ability guided by the Key Assets Practice Framework for Foster Care.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or related fields.
  • Prior experience working with and/or on behalf of children, young people, and families.
  • Knowledge of various Child Protection Legislation and Government initiatives across Victoria.
  • Tenacity, diligence, resilience, and creative problem-solving skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
