Role Description

This role involves working collaboratively in an integrated team to provide quality care and support services for children and young people. You will work with foster carers, monitoring their needs, facilitating support contact as agreed upon in the care plan, and ensuring the protection and welfare of children are prioritized.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing regular telephone and face-to-face visits to foster carers, supporting and coaching them to learn and grow in confidence and ability. The role requires a creative approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing quality care and support services for children and young people.
  • Working collaboratively with foster carers to meet their needs and facilitate support contact.
  • Ensuring the protection and welfare of children are prioritized at all times.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.
  • Prior experience working with children, young people, and families.
  • Knowledge of child protection legislation and government initiatives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
