Gippsland Southern Health Service (GSHS) is a major provider of healthcare in the South Gippsland Shire. GSHS offers a broad range of services that meet the needs of a diverse and sparsely populated area. With two main acute facilities based at Leongatha and Korumburra, GSHS offers a broad range of specialist, general, acute, subacute, ambulatory, residential aged care and community services.**About the Role**

Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, we will ensure GSHS has a strong patient safety culture and that our teams are supported and inspired to provide the best experience possible. This role oversees a team, including our newly created Best Care and Experience Coordinator, Customer Experience Team Leader, and Gateway Team Leader.**About You**

**To be successful in this role, you will**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field, which could be nursing, allied health, quality management, business management, or data analytics.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of quality standards, continuous improvement, quality management, and accreditation processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of quality improvement principles.
- Project management experience.
- Be passionate about advocating for community groups, such as the ATSI community
- Proven experience of auditing compliance, legislation and standards with a history of transitioning operations to best practice.
- Experience managing complex issues, including open disclosure processes, investigations, and complaints.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership and the ability to influence and embed change.
- The ability to identify gaps and risks and create continuous improvement strategies to reduce risk.
- We are looking for someone who is customer and consumer focused. A clinical background would be helpful however is not essential to the success of this position.
