About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead our high-value sales growth for utility-scale battery storage solutions in the Australian energy market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies targeting key segments within the utility-scale BESS market.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities with major energy sector clients, including utility companies, independent power producers, and large-scale energy developers.
  • Lead high-value negotiations and close complex deals with key stakeholders in the energy market.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring consistent growth and achievement of revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to align product offerings with customer requirements.
  • Build and nurture relationships with senior executives, decision-makers, and influencers in the energy sector.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, RFP responses, and presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform sales strategies.
  • Provide leadership and direction to sales teams, fostering a results-driven environment.
  • Report on sales performance metrics, including revenue forecasts, deal pipeline, and market insights.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is highly regarded.
  • Extensive experience in sales leadership roles within utility-scale BESS.
  • Demonstrated success in closing high-value deals with complex sales cycles.
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian energy market and its regulatory landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and the ability to drive results.
  • Willingness to travel across Australia to meet with clients and attend industry events.
