Job Title

This is a dynamic role that requires a creative, energetic and versatile person with a passion for libraries and a desire to shape the future of Brimbank Libraries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing library staff, including staffing allocations, rosters, and occupational health and safety. The role involves working closely with library staff, internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement services that enhance customer experience and engagement.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in public libraries, demonstrated effective communication, financial management and an understanding of governance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management: Managing library staff, including staffing allocations, rosters and occupational health and safety;
  • Service Development: Developing and implementing services to enhance customer experience and engagement;
  • Mentorship and Training: Mentoring and coordinating staff skill development to create a positive team culture and a future-focused workforce;
  • Collaboration: Working closely with library staff, internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational goals;
