Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Public Library Program Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our library services team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality programs and services to the community.

In this diverse and dynamic role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering engaging programs for children, young adults, and adults;
  • Maintaining accurate records of program attendance, evaluation, and feedback;
  • Providing excellent customer service and responding to queries from library users;
  • Collaborating with colleagues to plan and implement library events and activities;
  • Performing daily library circulation tasks, including shelving, processing returns, and checking hold alerts.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma of Library and Information Services or equivalent qualification;
  • Prior experience in public libraries, preferably in program delivery and customer service;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Proficiency in library management system functions.
