We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Project Lead to join our team at Whizdom Recruitment.

About the Role:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing project management activities, including overseeing systems, data, governance, and monitoring and reporting teams. You will work closely with various stakeholders to develop fit-for-purpose outputs and communicate program updates effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve project objectives, aligning with organisational priorities and guidelines.
  • Lead financial and procurement activities, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Oversee risk management activities, collaborating with central governance and risk teams to ensure alignment with organisational standards.
  • Lead and manage a team to provide a governance framework, including chairing the Project Control Group.
  • Leverage your technical expertise to lead our systems approach, including Smarty Grants, Salesforce, GIS, and PowerBI from a customer perspective.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and support within the team, promoting internal expertise and capabilities to deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging issues, policy obligations, insights, and challenges, providing strategic advice to senior leaders to inform effective decision-making.
  • Pursue innovative solutions that optimise outcomes, contributing to a best-practice function aligned with organisational priorities.

  • Manage complex consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders, balancing competing demands and timelines.
  • Achieve multiple project objectives with limited resources, identifying interdependencies and prioritising tasks effectively.

Location and Contract Term:

  • Lismore, NSW
  • 5-Month Contract
  • Hybrid working available.

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience.
