Job Title: IT Lead - Cloud Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Lead - Cloud Operations to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with project teams to solve complex problems, evangelizing the Cloud across development and IT, and designing native cloud application architectures or optimizing applications for AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Architecture: Develop architecture blueprints for increased cloud adoption and provide recommendations on cloud architecture strategies, processes, and methodologies.
  • Cloud Security: Design and implement best-fit solutions with respect to multi-cloud ecosystems and have a deep understanding of AWS components, including the AWS well-architected framework.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Improve resiliency for all cloud applications and infrastructure, ensuring that HA, DR, and Data Protection requirements are appropriately engineered and implemented for each workload.
  • Cloud Automation: Use configuration management, orchestration, and management tooling to ensure cloud environments meet operational and security standards.
  • Cloud Strategy: Develop a detailed understanding of our cloud infrastructure systems and propose and implement cloud standards and architectural usage patterns.
  • Cloud Engineering: Continually enhance automation of environment architecture/deployments, taking full advantage of cloud agility utilizing IAC tools and CICD tools (git-ops).
  • Cloud Security: Develop a Containers/Kubernetes strategy and evangelize the usage across the company while improving the security posture of our infrastructure with the right monitoring and logging.
  • Cloud Support: Work with our engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, provide guidance, and enable them to work with our infrastructure and platforms.
  • Cloud Leadership: Lead the implementation of complex projects and initiatives that have companywide scope and create architectural artifacts for products and key technology initiatives with a focus on Cloud security.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor/Master's degree in either Computer Engineering or Information Science.
  • Experience: Experience with assessment, development, implementation, optimization, and documentation of a comprehensive and broad set of security technologies within OnPrem, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud environments.
  • Certifications: Security and cloud certifications must include AWS, Azure, GCP, and CCSP cloud certifications.
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including VPC, RDS, IAM, EC2, EKS, CloudWatch, S3, RDS, Route53, etc.
  • Tools: Experience designing and building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Kubernetes toolset.
  • Operating Systems: Experience with hosted services in a high-volume enterprise environment and knowledge developing/working with Linux Operating Systems.
  • Security: Change Management and Patch Management with real-time experience with patching tools like Manage Engine, WSUS Server, and AWS Patch Manager.
  • Cloud Security: Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and CWE 25, with a proven track record and experience in implementing and integrating remediation strategies.
  • Cloud-Native Security: Excellent understanding of web applications, web servers, layer 7 application technologies, frameworks, and protocols with respect to application development and deployment.
  • Zero Trust Security: Understanding of cloud-native and cloud-based security solutions, and the ability to integrate these solutions into cloud security architectures.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Proven experience with public cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, or AWS with experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Policy as Code (PaC) principles and tools.
