We are seeking an accomplished technologist to join our Google Cloud team, tasked with delivering Cloud Landing Zones and modernization projects for key accounts and industry domains. As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing technical guidance on solutions design, governance, security, operations, and cost control best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build cloud-based infrastructures and landing zones for customers
  • Assist with the creation of infrastructure architectures and technical documentation
  • Design and implement secure cloud foundational implementations
  • Automated provisioning of infrastructure and applications
  • Cloud-ready applications architecture
  • Deliver end-to-end cloud-based infrastructure management solutions
  • Present Infrastructure modernization strategy to C-level executives
  • Improvements to monitoring, logging, and observability in client environments
  • Defining and implementing cloud infrastructure governance and building deployment standards
  • Working cross-functionally with our delivery management team

Requirements

  • Hands-on Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development
  • Experience with virtualization: servers, storage, networks
  • Google Cloud Platform certification, along with a minimum of 2 years of practical experience using its suite of tools
  • Experience with infrastructure-based processes such as monitoring, capacity planning, performance tuning, and disaster recovery
  • Experience with Google's Cloud Foundation Toolkit and Landing Zone implementations
  • Experience with data centre exit strategies
