Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Food Safety and Compliance Specialist to ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety plans, provide staff training, and foster a strong food safety culture in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure adherence to HACCP and food safety plans, conduct regular inspections, and maintain accurate records to meet legislative and company standards.
- Provide comprehensive food safety training for new and existing staff, including inductions, toolbox sessions, and ongoing professional development.
- Perform internal audits, support external audits, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in food safety and service quality.
- Promote a strong safety culture, enforce compliance with health and safety policies, and report incidents or hazards proactively.
- Relevant certifications in food safety and HACCP, with prior experience in a healthcare or HACCP-accredited kitchen environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations, compliance procedures, and the ability to conduct internal audits and inspections.
- Ability to train, mentor, and guide staff in food safety practices, ensuring compliance and fostering a strong safety culture.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
