The role requires compliance with food safety regulations and a strong understanding of children's health and nutrition standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, prepare, and serve nutritious, inclusive meals in accordance with food safety legislation and childcare nutritional guidelines.Maintain a hygienic and safe kitchen environment, adhering to relevant food safety and hygiene practices.Cater to individual dietary requirements, including allergies, intolerances, and cultural preferences.Collaborate with childcare staff to support the health and wellbeing of children.Ensure compliance with all Work Health & Safety (WHS) standards and procedures.Food Safety Supervisor CertificateCurrent National Police Clearance (no adverse findings)DHS Working With Children ClearancePhysically fit to perform the role's requirementsDesirable Qualifications & ExperienceCertificate II/III in Food Services or equivalent experienceKnowledge of National Quality Standards and Food Safety legislationExperience preparing child-friendly menus in a care or institutional settingFirst Aid and Mandated Notification TrainingPersonal AttributesExcellent organisational and time management skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsFlexibility, creativity, and a commitment to continuous improvementAbility to work effectively within a team environment
