Food Safety Technician Job Description

Diversey is seeking a skilled Food Safety Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in upholding the highest standards in food safety and hygiene across various environments.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cleaning audits and departmental inspections to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Complete accurate and timely electronic service and audit reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Document service activities, inspection findings, and corrective actions to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to resolve issues and implement food safety improvements.
  • Install and maintain hygiene and dosing equipment per specifications and standards to prevent contamination and ensure compliance.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair non-functioning equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Support new store rollouts by providing training and installation sign-off to ensure seamless implementation.
  • Maintain safety data sheets (SDS) and ensure compliance with safety protocols to protect employees and customers.
  • Deliver formal and on-the-job training to employees as per contractual obligations to enhance their knowledge and skills.
  • Respond promptly to customer requests and complaints to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain tool kits and field test kits, replacing expired or contaminated items to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Achieve 100% compliance in monthly CMX platform reporting to demonstrate commitment to excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities to quickly resolve complex issues.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
  • Flexible and willing to travel with a valid driver's license (primarily within South Australia).
  • Experience in equipment service, repair, and installation (chemical hygiene/food industry preferred).
  • Basic technical skills and safe use of tools (e.g., drills).
  • Background in food safety, sanitation, or pest control (preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office to efficiently manage reports and data.
  • Police Check, Industry White Card, Working with Children Check required.
