Job Title: Food Safety Specialist

Our Childcare Centre is seeking a skilled Cook to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals that meet the diverse dietary needs of children in care.

The role requires compliance with food safety regulations and a strong understanding of children's health and nutrition standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious, inclusive meals in accordance with food safety legislation and childcare nutritional guidelines.
  • Maintain a hygienic and safe kitchen environment, adhering to relevant food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Cater to individual dietary requirements, including allergies, intolerances, and cultural preferences.
  • Collaborate with childcare staff to support the health and wellbeing of children.
  • Ensure compliance with all Work Health & Safety (WHS) standards and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Certificate II/III in Food Services or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of National Quality Standards and Food Safety legislation.
  • Experience preparing child-friendly menus in a care or institutional setting.
  • First Aid and Mandated Notification Training.
