Executive Head of Kitchen Operations

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the kitchen stewarding department.

  • Manage daily operations to deliver exceptional standards in food hygiene and safety.
  • Maintain site cleanliness, adhering to schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

This is a leadership role that requires strong delegation and coaching skills to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Safety adherence: using chemicals and adhering to safety standards, including HACCP, food hygiene, and WHS requirements.
  • Procedural compliance: following schedules and SOPs.
  • Cleaning tasks: overseeing deep cleaning and ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
  • Administrative duties: completing rosters and ensuring compliance with work-right restrictions.

We are looking for an individual with a proven background in commercial kitchen management, strong understanding of food safety and hygiene, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Experience: minimum 3 years' experience in a leadership role within a commercial kitchen.
  • Leadership: proven success in leading and developing a high-performing team.
  • Technical Knowledge: strong understanding of commercial kitchen equipment, chemical handling, food safety, HACCP, and WHS requirements.
  • Professionalism: good presentation, grooming, and communication skills, with fluency in English.
  • Teamwork: ability to work within a team in a fast-paced environment.
