Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in menu planning, costing, and stock control.

  • Assist the Head Chef in creating menus that meet customer demands and exceed expectations.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality dishes.
  • Maintain consistency and quality in food preparation and presentation by implementing effective procedures and monitoring kitchen operations.
  • Ensure kitchen hygiene and compliance with food safety standards by adhering to industry best practices.
  • Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  • Take on additional responsibilities in the absence of the Head Chef, including leading kitchen staff and making key decisions.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year's experience as a Chef in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, including HACCP principles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide kitchen staff.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service.
