Production Operations and Support Specialist

The Opportunity

This role involves overseeing the production operations and support of FinTech IT services in Australia. As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for change/deploy/release, configuration, operation/optimisation, troubleshooting, and support of production cloud services.

The position requires ongoing IT service management of the production environment to ensure business and customer expectations are met.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring service availability, reliability, and performance through monitoring, support, and continuous optimization and improvement activities.
  • Performing Change, Deploy, and Release activities as needed throughout the service lifecycle.
  • Engaging in Incident Management to diagnose and troubleshoot production failures.
  • Participating in Problem Management activities to determine the root cause of recurring failure modes.
  • Implementing and improving Event Management by optimizing alerts and creating effective service health monitors.
  • Contributing to other appropriate IT Service Management processes.

Key Requirements:

  • Tactical experience in supporting and optimizing production IT services.
  • Ability to work in an international environment and within a matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated competency with monitoring/alerting frameworks and enterprise tools.
