Rack Power Support Specialist, Data Center Operations Team

Job Title: Rack Power Support Engineer, Rack Power Sustaining Team
Location: Australia, potential APAC locations
We are seeking a highly skilled Rack Power Support Engineer to join our Rack Power Sustaining Team in Australia. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and seamless operation of the global fleet of power systems used by Amazon Web Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor telemetry and fault data to detect and identify issues early, before they escalate into major incidents.
- Conduct in-depth technical investigations to pinpoint the root cause of problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to rapidly develop and deploy fixes, whether that means coordinating firmware/software updates or overseeing hardware replacements and field repairs.
- Analyze data to understand systemic problems and drive long-term improvements.

Requirements:
- 2+ years of overall technical support experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of WMW Architecture and hardware troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of production monitoring systems and support procedures and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field of study, preferably Electrical Engineering.
- 1+ years of experience with a UNIX/Linux operating system.
- 1+ years of scripting experience (e.g. Python, Ruby, Perl, Shell).
- Experience in a 24/7 production environment.
