About the Role

Amazon is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Center Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure work performed aligns with established practices and procedures.
  • Maintain performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
  • Generate Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets as directed.
  • Contribute to documentation relevant to business and facility operations.
  • Assist with installation of racks and provision of power/cooling within constraints.
  • Be involved in routine maintenance and emergency services for critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and more.
  • Assist with management of Facility assets and provision of infrastructure and inventory asset management as directed.
  • Participate in Construction and Operational Meetings as required.
  • Assist with Work Order compliance and review of contractual SLAs.
  • Interface with Infra Ops teams for day-to-day operational requirements.
  • Assist in resolution of any infrastructure engineering or services issue.

Requirements:

  • Interest in maintenance of Data Center or Critical space facility.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Facilities Management mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Security protocol awareness.
  • Computer literate, confident with Office Suite.

Salary: Estimated $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
