Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Technician to join our team in Amazon's data centers. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing and troubleshooting the infrastructure that supports the AWS cloud.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and be part of a dynamic team that designs, installs, and maintains the world's largest computing infrastructure. You will work closely with logistics and other teams to maintain daily operations and ensure seamless delivery of services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Escalation point and technical troubleshooter for all systems and problems
  • Deep diving into Linux server issues
  • Remediation of physical layer outages, both systems & network
  • Remediation or recovery of physical power issues on racks and participate in Data Center power & cooling events
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
  • 1+ years of computer networking experience
  • High school or equivalent diploma
Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
  • Knowledge of server hardware and components
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the follow hardware platforms (e.g. Dell, HP, Supermicro)
