The RoleYou will join our energetic and passionate Sales team, responsible for building relationships, converting leads, and coordinating events and groups for existing clients. Your goal is to generate future business from existing and potential acquisition clients.
This parental leave cover role requires at least 12 months' commitment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Conduct qualifying communications, written and verbal, to identify potential business opportunities.
- Actively follow up on proposals to ensure timely conversion.
- Issue contracts for secured bookings and follow up on deposits to maintain client satisfaction.
- Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and systematic file notes in Delphi to track client interactions.
- Presentation of benefit-focused site inspections and follow-up communications to showcase our capabilities.
- Supply contracts to clients and follow up as needed to secure signed contracts and deposits.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions to meet client requirements.
- Monitor business leads and maintain timely follow-ups to confirm existing leads.
- Actively pursue market intelligence and potential business opportunities for revenue development.
- Maintain the Envision system, tracing and prospecting previous clients and potential clients to secure bookings for future events.
- Ideal candidate holds a relevant degree, apprenticeship, or diploma in Hospitality or Restaurant Management.
- Previous experience within a five-star hotel or deluxe meeting venue is essential.
- Extensive knowledge of event service operations is required.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
- Computer skills in MS Office and Outlook are essential, with Opera/Envision EMS/RESERVE desired.
- Previous reservation/Front Office experience is advantageous.
- An unrestricted working visa for Australia is mandatory.
