Transportation specialists play a vital role in maintaining the infrastructure that supports our daily lives.

We are currently seeking a skilled Road Construction Worker to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of our transportation systems.

The ideal candidate will have excellent physical abilities, with experience working outdoors in various weather conditions. You should also possess strong problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of established pavements including routine inspections and repairs
  • Construction of new or enhanced pavements using hand tools and equipment
  • Installation and maintenance of roadside fixtures and signage
  • Operation of traffic signals and driver aid devices
  • Vegetation management including brush cutting, tree removal and branch trimming
  • Litter removal and clean-up of the road corridor
  • Response to incidents and removal of immediate hazards to road users
  • Removal of graffiti from transport structures
About You:

We are looking for a motivated individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment. You should be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects, as well as possessing good communication skills.

A White Card, current driver licence and ability to work outside normal hours are essential requirements for this role. Traffic control certificates are also required upon commencement.

Holding a truck licence or experience operating plant machinery is highly desirable but not mandatory.
