Job Role: Employment Support Mentor

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Employment Support Mentor to join our team. As an Employment Support Mentor, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their employment goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one support to participants in various employment-related activities, including resume writing and interview preparation.
  • Collaborate with the Employment Coordinator to develop and implement personalized support plans for each participant.
  • Support participants with on-the-job training and building capacity around work skills.
  • Assist participants in exploring employment options and preparing for work life.
  • Help participants navigate public transport and access volunteering opportunities as a pathway to employment.
Requirements:
  • Previous relevant experience in supporting individuals with disabilities or in an employment services environment.
  • Australian Drivers License and Working with Children Check.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for making a positive impact on the lives of people with disabilities.
