The Opportunity

Working with Partner Sophy Woodward, you will be part of a high performing, supportive, and down-to-earth team that is recognised as an Asia Pacific Band 1 ranked practice in Insurance (Policyholder) and Insurer: Non-contentious.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • You will have carriage of insurance disputes and advisory work for policyholder clients.
  • Manage client relationships, shaping the strategic direction of matters.
  • Work closely with counsel, drafting advices, preparing witness and expert evidence.
  • Have carriage of final and interlocutory proceedings.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years PQE within an insurance practice or a broader commercial litigation practice with an interest in insurance.
  • Demonstrated experience in a range of litigious matters and management of insurance disputes.
  • Strong academic achievements.
  • Familiarity with Supreme/Federal Court litigation.
  • The ability to project manage and drive matters through to completion.
  • A passion for mentoring, supervising, and delegating work to more junior lawyers.
  • A strong focus on delivering exceptional client service.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills required for building effective client relationships and contributing to a positive team environment.

Earnings Potential

The estimated salary for this role is $200,000-$300,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
