Executive Sous Chef Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of the kitchen leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

This role requires a strong understanding of commercial cookery principles, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be working closely with the Executive Chef to develop menus, train staff, and ensure seamless service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience in a similar role. A proven track record of successful menu planning, staff management, and cost control is essential. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery
  • Manage a team of up to 40 employees, including chefs, apprentices, and other kitchen staff
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menus, taking into account customer preferences, seasonal ingredients, and nutritional considerations
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene, adhering to relevant health and safety regulations
  • Control and analyze departmental costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives
Requirements:
