We are seeking an experienced professional to join our organisation as an International Policy and Advocacy Advisor. As a key member of our policy team, you will provide expert advice on a range of development and humanitarian issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive advocacy efforts on humanitarian effectiveness, protecting children in conflict, climate change impact on conflict, and education in emergencies.
  • Develop strategic policy products including government submissions, internal briefs, and media releases.
  • Engage in direct lobbying with key stakeholders, including governments, media, and the broader community.
Requirements:
  • Highly developed policy analysis skills, including ability to analyse complex issues and adapt for various audiences.
  • Strong advocacy skills, including ability to develop strategies to influence change and identify opportunities to advance our priorities.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including ability to adapt writing style for different audiences and products.
  • A high-level understanding of government, policy development, and political lobbying experience.
