About the Role:

This pivotal role will shape and drive inclusive policy, strategy, and practice across various sectors, ensuring our workplaces and services reflect the values of equity, cultural safety, accessibility, and inclusion.


  • Lead the implementation and review of gender equality action plans in line with legislative requirements.
  • Develop and embed diversity, equity, and inclusion policies and frameworks that align with legislative obligations and workforce entitlements.
  • Provide strategic advice on recruitment, reasonable adjustments, flexible work arrangements, and accessibility.
  • Design and deliver capability-building programs including unconscious bias training and inclusive leadership development.
  • Establish evaluation frameworks and reporting mechanisms to measure the impact of DEI initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be a visionary and experienced leader with:


  • Tertiary qualifications in public policy, law, human rights, psychology, or social work.
  • Deep knowledge of relevant legislation including the Gender Equality Act and Equal Opportunity Act.
  • Extensive experience in DEI policy development and implementation, ideally within a complex organization.
  • Strong project management skills and a track record of delivering impactful DEI initiatives.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with cultural competence and a commitment to intersectional approaches.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to influence across diverse teams and leadership levels.
