Lead a newly formed team to deliver strategic and operational HR support across the organisation.
Provide expert guidance to ensure consistent, people-focused solutions that align with organisational priorities, promote employee engagement, and drive a high-performance culture.
The role requires leading workforce planning to support responsive, client-centred service delivery across diverse programs and contributing to the development and implementation of the organisation's wellbeing strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert, strategic advice and guidance on ER, health, safety & wellbeing, cultural change and leadership capability
- Successfully integrate teams into one cohesive function, building team culture and delivering high-quality, values-aligned advice, operations and partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and shape organisational-wide workforce strategy
- Lead the development, continuous improvement and implementation of effective HR management and employee relations strategy, employment frameworks, policy programs and feedback mechanisms in collaboration with organisational leaders
- Act as a subject matter expert for interpretation of employee entitlements; review legislative changes and update policy and education initiatives
- Ensure consistent application of applicable awards, enterprise agreements and legislation with a strong focus on respectful, values-based workplace practices
- Manage external stakeholder relationships including unions, legal advisors, and represent the organisation in commissions and tribunals
- Embed a proactive and inclusive health, safety and wellbeing culture with a safety-first mindset
- Experience leading People & Culture, Health, Safety & Wellbeing or Organisational Development in complex organisations
- Strong business acumen, ability to build high-performing teams and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Adult Education, Business or a related field
- Proven ability to influence organisational outcomes through strategic people advice, workforce planning and capability development
