Job Description

About the Role:

Court Services Victoria is seeking a visionary leader to drive inclusive policy, strategy and practice across the Courts Group. This pivotal role will shape and drive policies ensuring workplaces and services reflect values of equity, cultural safety, accessibility and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and review of the Gender Equality Action Plan in line with the Gender Equality Act 2020.
  • Develop and embed DEI policies and frameworks that align with legislative obligations and workforce entitlements.
  • Provide strategic advice on inclusive recruitment, reasonable adjustments, flexible work and accessibility.
  • Design and deliver capability-building programs including unconscious bias training and inclusive leadership development.
  • Establish evaluation frameworks and reporting mechanisms to measure the impact of DEI initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to embed inclusive principles across policy culture and operations.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in public policy law human rights psychology social work or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of relevant legislation including the Gender Equality Act Equal Opportunity Act and Disability Discrimination Act.
  • Extensive experience in DEI policy development and implementation ideally within a complex organisation.
  • Strong project management skills and a track record of delivering impactful DEI initiatives.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills with cultural competence and a commitment to intersectional approaches.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to influence across diverse teams and leadership levels.
