Key Responsibilities:

The Commercial Manager will work closely with Practice Group Leaders, Partners, and senior lawyers to provide actionable financial insights and strategic support.

Cross-functional collaboration is essential for optimising resource allocation, pricing strategies, and client engagement.

Key responsibilities include acting as a trusted commercial advisor to designated Practice Groups, analysing key financial and operational metrics, and supporting pricing strategies and large client proposals.

Additionally, the Commercial Manager will partner with cross-functional teams to support client arrangements, compliance, and operational planning, enhance working capital management, and oversee significant WIP write-offs.

This role requires a proactive and analytical professional with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, thriving in a fast-paced environment, and enjoying working with senior stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes.

Job Description:

The Commercial Manager role involves providing expert financial guidance and strategic support to designated Practice Groups. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and analytical skills, as well as a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in commerce, law, or business.
  • Proven experience in finance business partnering, ideally within professional services or legal environments.
  • CA, CPA, or equivalent (highly desirable).
