Cardiovascular Research Ecosystem Leader

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised professional to lead operations for a cardiovascular research network. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving day-to-day initiatives and supporting growth within the Victorian research ecosystem.
In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders to implement strategic goals. You'll be at the heart of coordinating high-profile events, managing administrative functions for executive meetings, and building connections with researchers, funding bodies, health networks, and government agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the CVRN Executive Committee, including note-taking, action item management, and reporting.
- Lead the coordination of prominent CVRN events and workshops for researchers.
- Support communications to promote cardiovascular research in Victoria.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across research, health, and government sectors.
- Identify collaboration and funding opportunities that benefit the network's stakeholders.
- Represent the Network at external forums to further our mission.
Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the health and medical research environment in Victoria and Australia, including research funding schemes and collaborative networks.
- Experience in planning and delivering research, capacity building, and/or networking events.
- The ability to manage projects, have strong organisational and administrative skills, and work proactively and autonomously.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, work with and manage diverse committees.
- Proven collaboration and high-level negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for audiences ranging from government, researchers, executives, donors, and general community.
