About the Role:
">We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Disability Support Specialist to join our team as an Adult Speech Pathologist.
">As a Disability Support Specialist, you will provide best practice, evidence-based speech pathology services across the scope of practice to adults with a disability to achieve their goals and live the life they choose.
">Your working days may involve delivering therapy in people's homes, educational settings or in the community, aimed at supporting clients to achieve their goals, promoting overall health and wellbeing through communication skills and/or mealtime safety.
">You will work part of an interdisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists, providing indirect client service/family coordination to support client goals.
">About You:
">To be successful in this role, you'll be an established and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist with a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage people with a disability, motivate them, and build their capability.
">You'll have experience working within a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model, the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families, and a willingness to improve on your clinical practice, including self-reflection and a focus on developing clinical skills in areas you're not familiar with.
