Disability Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Hearth Support Services. This rewarding role offers the chance to provide 1:1 support to NDIS participants across Melbourne, making a meaningful difference in their lives.
About the Role- This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a passion for supporting people with disabilities to work closely with our team and make a positive impact in the community.
The ideal candidate will have professional or lived experience supporting someone with a disability, an understanding of the disability sector and person-centred support, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach.
Hearth Support Services offers above award rates, flexible working hours, and a supportive team environment. As a Disability Support Worker, you will work closely with our Relationship Managers to deliver tailored support plans that meet the unique needs of each participant.
Key Responsibilities- Assistance with community access and recreational activities
- Personal care (showering, toileting, and hygiene assistance)
- Manual handling and the use of wheelchairs & hoists
- Transportation and social engagement
- Light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning
- Behavioural and Mental Health Support
- Above award rates of pay ($25-$30 per hour)
- Flexible working hours to suit your availability
