Your Role:

As a Therapeutic Support Specialist, you will be working in a residential setting, providing nurturing and child-centered care that promotes emotional and physical well-being. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining daily routines, implementing behavior management techniques, and collaborating with families and guardians to support children's progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide emotional support and a safe environment for children to express their feelings and concerns.
  2. Establish and maintain daily routines to create a structured and predictable environment.
  3. Implement behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies.
  4. Organize and engage children in age-appropriate play and recreational activities.
  5. Collaborate with families and guardians to support children's progress.
  6. Ensure the safety and security of children at all times.

Requirements:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Valid Australian Driver's License
  • Victorian Working with Children Check (employee status)
  • Current CPR & First Aid certificate
  • Qualification in Disability, Community Services, Social Work or equivalent (desirable)
