Job Title: Assistant Finance and Assurance Officer
About the RoleThis is a dynamic position within our team responsible for managing core financial systems, supporting claims processing, and ensuring the integrity of expenditure related to disaster recovery and funding arrangements.
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve business objectives, prepare payments, audit reimbursement claims, and engage with internal and external stakeholders on financial matters.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Management: Manage core financial systems, including general ledger and payment processes, in controlled environments.
- Audit Support: Assist in audit processes and assess reimbursement claims against defined eligibility criteria.
- Communication: Develop strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with government agencies and internal teams.
- Project Support: Provide project support and basic project management to meet reporting and operational deadlines.
To succeed in this role, you will require a tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with effective communication and teamwork abilities.
