Job Profile

The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) is an independent statutory authority established to maintain an impartial and independent electoral system.

We are seeking a skilled Project Officer to support our Team Leaders and Senior Project Officers in a dynamic team. They will assist in managing corporate governance and election readiness functions, including planning, coordinating, and delivering key election projects.

To succeed, you will have:

  • Administrative skills, with accurate record-keeping and task completion within tight deadlines.
  • Experience in project management, with the ability to monitor progress and analyze data.
  • Able to conduct research and analysis, reaching evidence-based conclusions to support project coordination.
  • Ability to work under pressure, achieving goals in tight timeframes and responding to competing priorities.
  • Manage increased workloads, maintaining relationships and liaising with stakeholders on project issues.

To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian citizen, undergo a character clearance, and obtain security clearance.
