We are seeking a highly skilled Project Cost Control Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on financial management and reporting, supporting projects across the organization.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse daily challenges and exposure to various business units. Our finance professionals play a critical role in guiding business decisions and developing solutions for complex products and services.
Responsibilities- Provide high-level support to the finance team and collaborate with project and scheduling teams.
- Analyze cost and schedule performance, communicate financial insights and project status to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project budgets and forecasts in conjunction with cost account managers.
- Develop and maintain financial models, comprehensive reports and dashboards to monitor project performance.
- Ensure financial compliance and accuracy in collaboration with project teams.
- Support the month-end process with required journals and reconciliations, including all necessary reporting.
- Support estimating and pricing activities.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide training and mentoring of other staff within the team.
The successful candidate will ideally possess knowledge across some or all of the following areas:
- Bachelor degree in finance, business or commerce; or equivalent experience in the workforce.
- Relevant experience in project accounting, management accounting or cost control roles.
- Advanced Excel skills, including PowerPivot and dashboard management.
- Ability to adapt to different situations, be proactive and organize priorities autonomously to meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial aspects of diverse projects.
- Experience in estimating and pricing of varying complexity.
- Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) and use of Earned Value Management Systems for project financial management.
