About the Role

The People Relationship Manager is a key position within the Tennis Australia People team, responsible for fostering strong relationships between Member Association CEOs and the People team. This role requires a partner who can influence and broker quality People solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the unique needs of each Member Association CEO and their team, and represent these back into the People team to provide the right solutions aligned to business objectives
  • Work closely with Member Association CEOs and Operations Managers to activate People activities, including Engagement Surveys, Rem Reviews, Performance Reviews, Talent and Succession
  • Educate and support Member Association leaders on the People team operating model and processes, including self-service options
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet the needs of Member Association CEOs, specifically talent acquisition, learning and development, policies and processes, disciplinary matters, performance management and review cycle
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop a comprehensive dashboard that tracks and reports on People-related queries and solutions for Member Associations
  • Recommend and continuously review and update Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to reflect changes in service delivery needs
About You

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced HR professional who can bring their expertise to this role. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in HR relationship management, HR business partnering, or a related role
  • Ability to establish trust and credibility with senior leaders
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
  • Strong experience and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and familiarity in developing and managing Service Level Agreements is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence across a wide range of stakeholders with multiple divergent priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions and lead change
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of HR and employment relations processes spanning the full end-to-end employment life cycle for the purposes of identifying the correct course of action and delegating to the correct internal stakeholder as necessary
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demand
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to develop and follow standard work instructions/process
  • Experience with Workday or similar HR information system is desirable
