About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Officer to join our team at Johns Lyng Group. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and driven individual to make a real impact in the commercial insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Broker Relationships
  • Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with brokers through responsive and professional communication.
  • Understand broker needs and provide tailored solutions within our commercial insurance offerings.
New Business Opportunities
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities by analysing broker feedback and market trends.
  • Drive sales growth in alignment with our clients' goals.
Collaboration and Support
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to support and streamline the broker experience.
  • Coordinate with underwriting, claims, and service teams to meet broker needs effectively.
Requirements
  1. Customer Service Skills
  • Proven customer service skills aligned with a "can do mindset".
Communication and Negotiation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on responsiveness and customer service.
  • Ability to establish and nurture positive working relationships with brokers.
Commercial Insurance Experience
  • Previous experience in commercial insurance or a related field is an asset.
