We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Specialist to join our team at the Victorian Department of Families, Fairness & Housing. As a key member of our child protection team, you will play a vital role in protecting vulnerable children and young people from harm.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of children and young people who are in need of protection
- Collaborate with families, community services, and other professionals to develop and implement effective plans for children
- Manage complex cases, problem-solve, and present matters to the Children's Court of Victoria as required
- Support and develop child protection teams, providing guidance and expertise to ensure the best possible outcomes for children
- Valid driver's license
- Relevant qualifications in social work, psychology, or welfare
- Experience in child protection or child and family welfare
- Ongoing learning and development opportunities
- A challenging and rewarding role that makes a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children
