The Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency (VACCA) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled organisation that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal Community and is the largest organisation of its kind in Australia.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nugel Case Manager to join our team.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Work with Aboriginal children and families to reduce the over-representation of Aboriginal children in care and in contact with the Child Protection system
* Strive for better outcomes for children and build capacity in families so that children can be transitioned home
* Collaborate with Government and sector partners to achieve our goals

**Requirements:**

* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values that underpin VACCA's vision and purpose
* Experience working in the child, youth and family services sector
* A recognised Social Work/Community Services degree or a similar welfare or behavioural related degree
* Proven ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with Aboriginal children and families
* Demonstrated understanding of child development, attachment and trauma as they relate to Aboriginal children
