Job Description

As a Qualified Home Care Worker, you will join a supportive and values-driven team based at St James Retirement Home in Townsville. You will be responsible for providing personal care and assistance to clients, including showering, grooming, and dressing.

You will be available for early morning starts between 6am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. Medication assistance is also required, with the HLTHPS006 competency necessary for this role.

About the Role

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. A current driver's licence and comprehensively insured vehicle are also essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide domestic support, including cooking, cleaning, and household tasks. They will also observe and report changes in health and wellbeing.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent, with 12 months experience. You will also require completion of HLTHPS006 – Assist Clients with Medication and other relevant certifications.
