Personal Carer Job Description

As a Personal Carer, you will provide care to clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life. You will spend your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes, assisting with daily activities.

  • Providing personal care assistance with showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry, and ironing.
  • Delivering care in accordance with individualised Care Plans, ensuring each client receives tailored support.
  • Supporting clients with community-based recreational and social activities, promoting engagement and social interaction.
  • Transporting clients and assisting with shopping and appointments, enhancing their daily experiences.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • A Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support qualification.
  • A current Australian driver's license and own roadworthy insured vehicle.
  • Experience with technology, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other digital tools.
  • Confidence to satisfy relevant probity checks, ensuring a safe working environment.
