Clinical Haematology Department

The Clinical Haematology department forms part of the Olivia Newton John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre at Austin Health. It provides services for a wide range of benign and malignant haematological conditions, including apheresis, autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation.

We offer a consultative service throughout Austin Health and extend to Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg, as well as other regional health service partners.

About the Role

This role involves working as a clinical specialist in haematology, contributing to the Haemostasis and Thrombosis clinical service. The successful candidate will have minimum 3.5 hours and maximum 17.5 hours per week available, divided between two clinics held on Monday mornings and Friday mornings, with opportunities for ward service.

Requirements

  • Be a registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians or equivalent
  • Have appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of Clinical Haematology
  • Demonstrate a commitment to high-quality patient care
  • Demonstrate a commitment to working as a team member with peer medical, junior medical, nursing, and other clinical staff
  • Demonstrate a commitment to teaching, training, and research

Estimated Salary

$140,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
