Executive Chef

Job Title: Head Chef

NRMA Parks & Resorts is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests. As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, you will be responsible for ensuring our menus are fresh, exciting, and meet the high standards of our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff to deliver high-quality meals and exceptional service
• Work closely with our Resort Manager and Food and Beverage Manager to develop and implement menus that meet guest preferences and dietary requirements
• Manage food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality
• Effectively manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and waste management
• Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to achieve budget targets
• Source local and sustainable ingredients to enhance menu offerings
• Communicate effectively with food service and restaurant management to ensure seamless service delivery
• Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment, adhering to food safety and workplace health and safety standards

Requirements:

• Formal qualification in commercial cookery or equivalent experience
• Previous experience in a lead or head chef role in a restaurant, club, resort, or bistro
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
• Working knowledge of food safety principles and workplace health and safety
• Experience in inventory management, ordering, and stock control
• Effective verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with guests and staff
