Animal Welfare Specialist

The Shelter Medicine Leader will oversee the team of veterinarians at our North Melbourne site. They will work closely with colleagues to ensure consistency across both shelters and provide support during periods of leave.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic direction to the veterinary team.
- Deliver exceptional animal care within a modern shelter medicine framework.
- Mentor and develop team members, promoting growth and wellbeing.
- Implement strategies to enhance patient flow and reduce length of stay.
- Ensure adherence to animal welfare standards and regulations.
As a highly skilled veterinarian, you will have the passion, drive, and ability to work collaboratively with people. You will be an experienced leader, but also possess excellent clinical skills, capable of diagnosing, treating, and managing a variety of illnesses and injuries in small animals.
