Animal Care Specialist
">We are seeking a compassionate animal care professional to join our team. As an Animal Attendant, you will be responsible for caring for around 18,000 lost and abandoned dogs and cats every year.
Main Responsibilities:
">- Clean, feed, and enrich animals in our cattery, kennels, or other areas
- Report any changes in health or behaviour to our vets and vet nurses
- Administer medication to animals as required
- Maintain accurate records for all animals
- Identify animals for lost and found inquiries
- Perform laundry, food stock takes, and other duties as required
Required Skills and Qualifications:
">- Experience working with animals in a professional capacity
- A recognised animal-related qualification/s (desired)
- A current driver's licence
- Sound emotional maturity and ethics regarding animals and their welfare
- The ability to display initiative and motivation
- A reasonable level of fitness and the ability to work in a physically demanding role
